Coachella, CA – Visitors to the Spotlight 29 Casino are now greeted by a stunning and dynamic visual experience, thanks to a series of outdoor LED ring and logo displays expertly designed, fabricated, and installed by Ad Art Electronics. The project, situated above the main entrance roof, presented a unique set of challenges that the Ad Art team adeptly overcame, showcasing their expertise in innovative sign technology and engineering.
The ambitious project required the integration of a fully programmable LED puck filled logo sign with a unique, seamless 360-degree LED ring screen, a complex design that demanded meticulous engineering and coordination for a precise fit. Ad Art had never attempted a ring display before this. A significant hurdle was the necessity for the new displays to conform to the existing building’s structural, electrical and data limitations. The desert location of Spotlight 29 Casino also meant that the displays would be subjected to extreme heat.
The sheer width of the 360-degree LED ring display presented a unique content creation challenge. The extreme resolution required a specialized approach to developing and managing visual content. To manage the sophisticated new displays, Spotlight 29 Casino needed a more powerful and flexible content management system (CMS).
To bring this vision to life, Ad Art Electronics sourced custom-beveled LED cabinets from their factory to form the 360-degree LED ring display, ensuring a flawless and cohesive final appearance. The fully programmable LED puck logo faces represented a feat of custom design and fabrication. These intricate elements required a completely bespoke approach to their design, assembly, and configuration to allow for dynamic, eye-catching animations and branding opportunities.
Through sharp field engineering, Ad Art's team successfully integrated the high-impact LED features within the casino's pre-existing infrastructure, avoiding costly and time-consuming structural and electrical modifications. Ad Art addressed the hot environmental challenge by engineering an economical yet effective cooling system and utilizing highly durable LED components designed to withstand the harsh desert climate, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of the installation.
